Roots of Bunts Sangha & Founding History
Bunts Sangha, founded in 1927, is a premier socio-cultural and educational organization committed to uplifting society through quality education. Its educational footprint spans more than five decades, beginning with night schools for underprivileged children in the 1950s that produced distinguished industrialists, bankers, judges, and corporate pioneers.
During its Platinum Jubilee celebrations in 2003, the Sangha resolved to establish an institution of higher education dedicated to professional management studies. The result was UKS Institute of Management Studies & Research, named in honour of philanthropist Uma Krishna Shetty, equipped with modern infrastructure and recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of Education, Government of India.
