The Grievance Redressal Cell has been constituted by Bunts Sangha’s Uma Krishna Shetty Institute of Management Studies and Research with the intention of preventing unfair practices and to provide a mechanism to the students to redress their grievances.

The students may approach the cell to voice their grievances regarding various matters such as academic, health, hostel facilities or any other issues that they are facing. The cell redresses their grievances by sorting out the issues promptly. An easy and transparent redressal mechanism is provided for the same.

 

  • Online Grievance Redressal System has been established and students can lodge their grievance through online form available on the Institute website
  • Ombudsman Mrs. Sailaja Ravindranath has been appointed for relevant purposes
Objectives

of the Grievance Redressal Cell

  • To instill in the students a sense of faith and unbiased outlook of the Institute.
  • To provide the students access to immediate, uncomplicated recourse to redress their grievances.
  • To recognize systemic flaws, if any, in the administration of the Institution and to seek solutions.
  • To establish a monitoring mechanism to oversee the functioning of the Grievance Redressal Policy.

Procedure

of Redressal

Step 1 :If a complaint comes to the Registry. The registry shall talk to the person/department mentioned in the complaint. If an amicable solution can be arrived at an attempt shall be made.

Step 2: If amicable solution cannot be arrived at, the Grievance Cell Committee (in-house members only) shall conduct an enquiry and conduct hearing of the complainant as well as the parties named in the complaint.

Step 3: Full committee including Ombudsman to arrive at a solution/action to be taken.

Students can lodge a complaint online. A Suggestion Box also is strategically placed in the Institute premises. Suggestions received herein which are relevant to the committee shall also be dealt with by the Committee.
